by The Golden Eagle from Belmar reported yesterday “Bluefish action was mixed today, with some good drifts but overall a slow bite.
According to the latest Golden Eagle Fishing update, there were some bluefish on the beach and out east today, but the catch was light — just a few to a handful per drift. While there were decent readings at times, the fish didn’t bite as expected. Bluefish caught ranged from 2 to 8 pounds, with some anglers landing 5–6 fish and others getting just a couple Golden Eagle.
