Big blues appeared again as the Golden Eagle from Belmar covered areas that had been producing only small ones a few days ago, They reported “Today’s trip produced steady action with 4- to 10-pound BLUES all day long! We worked several different areas, stopping on scattered readings and setting up long drifts that produced fish for over an hour at a time.
Both plain and tailed jigs produced the best action with fish spread out over a few different areas and a nice mix of sizes.
The majority of anglers had their limit of BLUES.
We also had a few nice TRIGGERFISH, and one lucky angler added a Spanish Mackerel to the catch!
The weather forecast looks excellent, and the fishing continues to be outstanding. Now is the time to get in on this great BLUEFISH action.“
