June 26, 2025 was a tough day for Bob and Scott today at their third and last day of “The Costa Rica Blue Marlin Fly Fishing School” aboard “Dragin Fly. More Blue Marlin were raised today than the first two days combined, 9 blue marlin and 2 sailfish were raised, they could only get 2 marlin and 1 sailfish to bite, unfortunately both marlin on 20 pound tippet were broken off and the sailfish that bit was caught.
The final score for the trip are:
17 raised, 6 bites, 2 caught …

Some crazy good feeds today. I mean, the kind ya see from a mile away. But… SUPER spooky fish. Would go down when ya got fifty, even a hundred yards away sometimes. And even if they did stay up? Man, there were a couple a ragers we got a half-dozen casts into with NO eats! WTH? Sometime it just be that way. Whateva… We go the bite we needed.
