Through reports have been scarce so far, Capt. Lou Grazioso believes warming conditions will be producing a good striper bite in both rivers and Raritan Bay any day now. The forecast for NY/NJ Bight is fot southwest winds at 5-10 knots before it increases to 15 in the afternoon.

  1. Al, it has been a terribly cold winter up here in the NY – NJ metro area. The water temps remain extremely cold. That is going to delay the striper bite, surely.
