The up-and-down fluke fishing which has been the norm this season took a break Tuesday as Capt. Ron Santee of the Fishermen from Atlantic Highlands reported a second straight days of excellent action with many limits. That boat is chartered Wednesday, but will be back on its daily schedule Thursday,

  1. I’m a long time subscriber and lover your blog. Keeps me in touch with the Jersey Shore fluke news. I primarily sailed on the Elaine B II with Stan and JR until I retired and moved from NJ. I fished the Big Mohawk this weekend before driving up the coast to fish the Helen H out of Hyannis. I happily found many NJ fluking fanatics and old friends from both the Elaine B II and the BM. To say the least, the fishing was epic! Seven doormats on Day 1 of a two-day sail and a 12-lber on Day 2 along with a boat limit. Would send a pic or two if your technology supports it?

    Kind regards,

  2. Went out on the Gambler fishing boat today mates were great but the fishing wasn’t. Many shorts and the boat was packed. Fishing one next to another there were some keepers but not many compared to the amount of people on board. They said the Axel was good didn’t look like that to me. Again the boat and the mates were good. This isn’t knocking the boat just the way fishing is going
