Sportfishermen can cheer on a fellow angler in tomorrow’s Super Bowl.
Clark Harris is the long snapper for the Bengals, and also the reigning Manhattan Cup striped bass champion. Clark is the half-brother of Fisherman magazine editor Jim Hutchinson Jr. and grew up in Manahawkin on the Jersey Shore. They fish the Manhattan Cup with Capt. Brian Rice every year and are always a top contending team.
The Ocean Explorer from Belmar got out today and had some keeper blackfish plus ling, pollock and lots of congers and bergalls. They will be sailing Sunday,

The Manhattan Cup is a great event. I won the bait division one year, fishing bunker chunks right in front of the Statue of Liberty. Sadly, the trophy was in my office at 7 WTC on 9/11. Compared to the human lives lost that day, no big deal. But I do wish I had kept it at home.
