The Jamaica from Brielle reports a boat limit of sea bass up to 6 pounds was taken during Saturday’s trip to offshore wrecks along with lots of jumbo porgies and some hake plus a few bluefish, Room is available on tonight’s 10 p.m. sailing to those wrecks. For reservations call 732 528-5014.
and At Atlantic Highlands, the Fishermen reported perfect conditions Sunday as the water temperature dropped to 54 degrees and anglers caught up to 20 stripers from 23 to 37 inches on shads. There was only a short period of fishable conditions this morning as a few bass were caught before it got worse during the change and Capt. Ron Santee gave passes to the anglers and headed back.
The forecast is for west winds at 15-20 knots plus gusts to 25 in the afternoon.
