The Golden Eagle from Belmar reported marking plenty of blues today, but jigging wasn’t up to par before they added sea bass and fluke. The Queen Mary from Point Pleasant had a similar problem as only the regulars were able to limit on blues.
The forecast is for northwest winds at just 5 to 10 knots.
Sorry for the delay tonight, but I’ve been having a problem publishing.
Hi Al Ristori,
Just want you to know that I love the Tight Lines emails, and also loved your columns in the Star Ledger long ago. Everything is so well written.
Way back, maybe 30 years ago, when my wife and I moved from my hometown of Buffalo to Jersey, I wanted to know the correct light action pole for casting lures in the surf. So, I sent the question to you with a self addressed, stamped envelope. Three days later, your handwritten reply was in my mailbox. Not as fast as the internet, but more memorable and fun (obviously).
Keep up the good work,
Mark Welch
