Tonight’s snow may not result  in much accumulation, but every bit will further lower water temperatures and delay hopes for an early bite to break the winter doldrums.

Small craft warnings are up for gusty east winds, but it should switch to northwest at 15-20 knots by the morning. West to northwest winds prevail through the start of the week, and it will not be comfortable waiting for that first bite casting from the Belmar docks. Better days are coming — I think!
