Vinny D’Anton managed a bluefish on a Chug Bug during his first attempt in the Monmouth County surf this morning after returning from Florida. Other anglers also got into the blues, some of which were large. However, surf stripers continue to be scarce.

Capt Steven Jr reports a decent first trip out on the Viking Starship. The first day we had steady action all day seeing Tiles everywhere we went. The catch consisted of Tilefish, Hake, and some Rosies. There were very few dogs and big skates to bother us. The second day we went exploring in shallower water with the breezy conditions and had great action with Tiles on all of our drops.
