Capt. Ron Santee Jr. fished his Fishermen from Atlantic Highlands in the snot today as the great NJ/NY Bight striper bite continued. “Never expected it to get so nasty today, especially after the change of tide…..

Didn’t matter and it actually helped with the bite. Had a very good first drift to start things off with Bigger fish. Bounced around a bunch of life that was working and found a dozen fish to take home.

85 year old Stoney who has seen many a good day in his life landed 3 beauties, lost 3 and ended up with a keeper for dinner. How he stayed at the rail I’ll never know but he is one tough S.O.B!! Nice body of fish once again and some local fish starting to show the past couple of days.

The Golden Eagle from Belmar had a similar report of spectacular bird life on surfacing stripers a;long with readings from top to bottom. Run-Off jigs with or without teaser tails did the job.

The weather looks good for tomorrow.
