As noted in my first blog today, I’m doing another as the striper bite was even better in rough conditions.

Capt. Ron Santee Jr. reported as follows from his Fishermen out of Atlantic Highlands:

Made our way out with a bunch of excited fishermen today after reading the reports for the past couple of days. We did not disappoint.

As we got close to the area, the birds were working, the change of tide was happening and the wind started to honk, the bite was on!

The harder it blew the nastier it got, the better the bite on fish from 35 to 48 inches!! Couple of drifts we had the whole boat hooked up. “

The Golden Eagle from Belmar reported epic striper action with up to six on at a time after hitting Run-Off 4-ounce jigs with either red or green tails. However, they may cancel tomorrow due to a windy forecast. Check with them before heading down.
