Tough day at Big Rock except for wahoo

All the major category leaders stayed in place today at the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. though there were some changes at the fringes.

Bigeye tuna specialist MJ’s boated a 30-pound dolphin to win the daily and moved into third in that category.

Bigger wahoo were finally caught as High Cotton weighed a 47.7-pounder, Reel Joy a 54.6 — and Boboso a 61.5.

The release count for 218 boats was only 51 billfish consisting of 36 blue marlin, 8 sails and 7 white marlin.

Speculator remains well out in front in the release categories

with Day 4 coming up.
